• London Transport bus crews at Chalk Farm and Norwood garages decided on Monday to reject an offer of extra protection from late night rowdyism by passengers on a south London section of the No. 3 route. They decided unanimously that the proposed safeguards were inadequate.
The busmen are to refuse to operate on the Brixton to Crystal Palace section of the route after 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
