• The trial of Solly Davis, a director of Charles Poulter Ltd., and 28 others— mostly lorry drivers—was arranged for February 3 at Victory House, Leicester Square, London, WC2, when their cases were called at Bow Street magistrate's court on Monday. None of the accused made an appearance.
The charges relate to conspiracy together and with persons unknown to make false statements in a material particular in documents authorized or required to be made under the Road Traffic Act; conspiracy to fabricate false evidence; conspiracy to drive vehicles excessive hours; and conspiracy to forge documents (CM November 29).
