SEVERAL original and practical features are incorporated in the

• Brooke Hydro-Pneumatic jack manufactured by Messrs. Coventry Motor Spares, Gulson Road, Coventry. Neat and modern in appearance, it is operated by air pressure from the normal garage or depot supply line, and, with a oneton capacity, will lift safely and effort lessly on 180-1b, air pressure, or 100 lb. for light vehicles.

The jack has been designed for mobility and high-speed use. The handle is long and suitably shaped, and the jack itself is but 5i• ins, high, although giving a normal lift of 9 ins. additionally. Extension pieces can easily be added for higher lifts. The instrument can be wheeled along the floor.

Once lifted to any point, the jack "stays rut" until deliberately released by the trigger. Thus, there is no danger, even if the air line be cut, The number of moving parts has been reduced as much as possible, and the valve mechanism is an independent unit, immediately detachable.

Once the jack is in use, the air line may be detached for other, uses, the instrument then becoming purely hydraulic.

The line is detached by a quick-release Schrader attachment, and there is no need for " it " to be connected for the release of the jack to a lower position

or to normal. The jack will, in its normal position, clear petrol tanks. brake-rod mechanisms, valances, and most other projections by a considerable margin.
