Midlands-based Iveco dealer Guest Trucks buys again, this time it’s Sherwood Truck & Van
Words: Kevin Swallow IVECO DEALER Guest Trucks, based in West Bromwich, has bought fellow dealer Sherwood Truck & Van for an undisclosed sum, 18 months after purchasing TC Harrison.
The deal adds Alfreton in Derbyshire, Nottingham, Shefield, and Stoke-onTrent, to the Guest Group portfolio. It now covers the entire Midlands, across to Peterborough, up to South Yorkshire and west to Telford.
Combined annual turnover for the Guest Group is now £110m, with the addition of £35m from the Sherwood operation.
Robert Spittle, MD of truck operations for the family-owned Guest Group, says: “Sherwood Truck & Van will form a key part of the Guest Group.”
Sherwood proprietor Terry Waterfall and director Paul Hemp will both retire, while Sherwood Truck & Van’s MD Helen Waterfall joins the Guest Group as a regional director responsible for the four Sherwood locations. ■
