vehicles have been prepared by the Department of Transport and the DTp is to invite applications for designation as testing stations.
The specification is designed to meet the needs of the ATP agreement on refrigerated transport.
Applications should be on forms available from the Department at 2 Marsham Street, London, SWI, or from the Shipowner! Refrigerated Cargo Research Association, 14C Newmarket Road, Cambridge.
It is thought that manufacturers of reefer bodies are among those who will want to have their premises designated as testing stations and when an application is received there will be a programme of inspections and tests before approval is granted.
