FUEL CUT TO CONTINUE

THE Ministry .of Transport has refused to accept a request of the Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association that restrictions on the rationing of fuel for excursions and tours for private-party work should be relaxed. No promise of any improvement in the position, this year, was given.

The Ministry, is investigating complaints by members of P.V.A. about the issue of fuel to newcomers to operate contract carriages, when established operators are restricted in the work that they can undertake becausi of fuel rationing.
