Major Hants works
• Major maintenance work will start on the A31 between Southampton and Bournemouth before the end of next month and last for about 14 weeks. Following this, maintenance work lasting about 10 weeks will affect the A31 between Picket Post and Stoney Cross.
HGV operators are warned there will be width restrictions on the A31 at some stages of the works through Ringwood: wide loads heading east will be diverted. Repair work will also affect the M271 and A36 spur road on the outskirts of Southampton_
