• Vauxhall Motors has invested over £1m in a fleet of 99 semi-trailers built by Montracon/Tasker.
Seventy one are tandem axled; the rest, including 20 flats, are tri-axled. All are built to the 13.6m length limit.
Most are curtainsiders which will replace 20-year-old Craven Tasker side-door trailers for the collection of full and consolidated loads, and delivery to car plants in Ellesmere and Luton.
The remainder are platform trailers for the carriage of high, bulky loads such as car body shells.
