Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Telford-based Norteck Bodies has produced the first of a new range of lightweight, bolt-on curtainsider bodywork systems that offers low unladen weights and high load volumes.

The 1300 Series features 80mm-deep extruded aluminium cantrails with light but sturdy valances. Two aluminium sliding stanchions with a new locking system support the roof on each side to give an internal width of 2.43m. Steelwork in the body is either bright zinc plated or galvanised, apart from the rear bulkhead and front verticals. These are made to a new bolt-up design for ease of repair.

A typical 13.62m body with a 2.85m overall height weighs about 1,300kg, says managing director Ian Norman. The first two 1300 Series bodies have been built for a Northern Irish operator on 13.75m Fruehauf trailers with RO-R Flexair running gear. They have a 2.9m side aperture with an overall height of 4.17m and 130mm-deep necks, but the body system is compatible with depths as low as 75mm.
