THE NORTH WESTERN Tourist Board is promoting the attractions of the industrial north. A weekend in Wigan — "See the new Wigan Pier development" — or a ski holiday at Rawtenstall were prizes offered by the board in a twoweek exhibition at Euston Station.
What enterprising coach operator will be the first to run tours of the battlefields of Warrington? Slogan: "See where they put the war in Warrington." Baton charges might be arranged in aid of police charities, to which peaceful pickets, I am sure, would gladly lend their skills. Tyre-slashing demonstrations are another possible attraction with a strong appeal to the young.
