L""ROM February 1 next year a sick-pay scheme will operate for company bus employees; this was agreed at Monday's meeting of the NUN. It will cover all male staff from 18-69 with 12 months' continuous service and all female staff from 18-64 with five years' service. Part-time staff will be eligible for half-benefit.
Central workshops employees will be eligible for 80s. a week and other staff 80s. 6d., for terms of absence which vary according to the years of service. For example, service of less than 10 years will qualify for up to six weeks' benefit, while over 20 years' continuous service will qualify for an aggregate of up to 18 weeks' benefit per year.
