LLAST week Mr. Roger Gresham Cooke (Tory, Twickenham) asked in the Commons what machinery the Transport Minister would devise so that public transport operators would be made aware of the various steps in, and the results of, the administrative procedure for appeals to him against decisions of area mechanical engineers in respect of certificates of fitness for p.s.v.
Mr. Fraser replied that no representations had come from the bus industry to alter the present arrangements for these appeals. However, he would consider the point raised by Mr. Cooke. he said, and would write to him.
