ROAD operators at Stoke-upon-Trent are to lodge an official protest with the City Council over the traffic standstills that occurred in the area during the recent cold spell.
Members of the West Midland division of the Traders Road Transport Association claim that lack of gritting and salting caused the icy roads that led to the city's worst-ever traffic blockage and the consequent disruption of goods movement.
