Overall size, weight, operating requirements and test procedures are specified in the Standard, the containers being for road/rail/ sea use. The four largest containers are of standard international 8 ft. by 8 ft. crosssection and have lengths and gross weight ratings of 29 ft. 11 in. and 25 tons: 19 ft. 101 in. and 20 tons ; 17 ft. and 17 tons ; and 9 ft. Soi in. and 10 tons. The smallest is of 6 ft. 101 in. by 6 ft. 10-1 in. section, 7 ft. 104 in. long and is rated at 7 tons gross.
