Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CWITCHES of top executives have recently taken place within the Transport Development Group.

It is understood that Mr. J. A. Murly, who was formerly chairman of Continental Ferry Trailers, has been managing director of Wright and Co. (Kings Cross) Ltd.—a 100-plus vehicle contract hire and general haulage company—since December 1.

On that date also, Mr. C. W. Oliver was switched from managing Beck and Pollitger Road Transport Ltd. to become the new managing director of Beck and Pollitzer Industrial Removals Ltd. Mr. Oliver has been succeeded by Mr. H. J. Savage.

Another move involves TDG's international haulage company, Continental Ferry Trailers. Mr. P. Rothchild has taken over as managing director from Mr. J. G. Russell.

A spokesman for TDG declined to comment on the changes, but it is believed that the move of Mr. Murly, a National vice-chairman of the RHA and chairman of the Association's international functional group, will preclude him from taking such an active part in international haulage affairs. Mr. Murly, too, was tipped in some quarters as the Association's next national chairman.

Glasgow LDOY Round GLASGOW is to stage an eliminating round in the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition in 1966. The City Council agreed on Monday to provide £150 towards the expenses. Mr. G. Kerr, Glasgow road safety officer, is the hon. secretary.
