Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

reported in CM 3-9 August (Dave Longman/cruise control/ cellular telephone) was meant as a joke.

If not, when will his licence be revoked? The man is a danger to all road users. Who with any sense at all would use a car phone while travelling at 70mph, out of control, with cruise-control stuck and burntout brakes on a motorway? Only a total retard.

Any sensible person would have pulled over to the hard shoulder, turned off the igni tion, applied the brakes and stopped with hazard lights on. Then, and only then, would he have phoned the garage.

I assume that had he been put on hold, he would now be either in Scotland or possibly out of fuel.

Could you please publish the man's registration number so that we can all give him a wide berth.
