• Distribution 2000 is recruiting hauliers and parcel firms to set up a nationwide distribution network built on franchises.
The company was set up ii April and is part of the Ringwav Group which incluck contract hire and leasing firm Truck 2000, Ringway Self Drive and Placefleet.
Franchise manager Michae Davies says: "The group has fleet of 1,500 hire vehicles. With contract hire there is always the threat of vehicles standing idle, so Distribution 2000 was formed to take advantage of the group's facilities."
The distribution firm, whic "offers a total distribution operation from general hada; to overnight parcel deliverie: is based in Coventry and operates 12 vehicles and 10 trailers. Franchisees are no',i being sought in far-flung are such as mid and north Wales East Anglia, Lincolnshire ant the Scottish Highlands.
Each franchise will vary in price and this will include sal back-up and national advertising. Distribution 2001 can also offer contract hire o leasing through its sister companies.
