• Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service has placed an order worth nearly £1 million with Dennis Specialist Vehicles for 20 new vehicles.

Fifteen are 3.81m wheel. base RS chassis fitted with water tender bodies and fixed six-seater cabs. They have alloy-framed bodyworl and are fitted with 1,818 litres (400 gallon) water tanks and 3,410fitres pm (750gpm) pumps.

Four similar SS chassis have cabs with a tilting froi section. Two are equipped with decontamination units.
