SPD, National Freight's exUnilever distribution subsidiary, has almost doubled its common user chilled distribution fleet.
It has bought 50 additional temperature controlled Ford Cargo, Seddon Atkinson and Dodge Commando 16-tontiers, the first of which arc to be used on contracts with a long-standing SPD customer, Van den Berghs.
They take the SPD chilled distribution fleet to more than 100 vehicles, and it look for more expansion. I distribution group sales marketing director Ric] Lovell commented: "a common user services market with great potc for growth.
