WITH its takeover of the international removals and fine arts transport specialist firm Pitt and Scott, the National Freight Consortium (CM, last week) has appointed Ken Vause as the operation's general manager.
Mr Vause was previously group manager for Pickford's Fulham group of branches. Brothers Michael and George Scott remain with Pitt and Scott in their former capacities: Michael is director of international removals with special responsibilities for developing reciprocal trading opportunities; George, who has considerable experience of fine art packing, remains director of fine art forwarding.
Pitt and Scott will retain its separate management.
