AFTER 45 years in passenger transport Ken Harris, division general manager (south) with Merseyside Transport since 1970, has retired.
Mr Hannis joined Bristol Tramways and Carriage Company in 1940, returning to the company after war service.
In 1954 he was appointed traffic superintendent with Cheltenham District Traction Co before moving in 1963 to Midland General.
