• Adventure International Ltd. which started inexpensive camping holiday tours abroad three years ago, is meeting the demand for larger parties with nine 29seater Duple Vista coaches.
The new Duple coaches, which are on diesel-engined Bedford chassis, are being concentrated on European tours.
They are the latest Vista-25 design in which a little more space is provided for passengers because the steering column is moved to an angle nearer the vertical allowing the driving position to be a few inches farther forward. The Bedford-based Vista weighs 4 tons 7cwt and has a central sliding-door.
Coaches for Adventure International have extra rear-view mirrors, and the engine is fitted with an exhaust brake to relieve wheel-brake pressure on mountain descents.
