URUGUAY BUS ORDER: Orders for A.E.C. buses, worth £1400000. froth Uruguay, brings the value of contracts from South America and the Caribbean placed with the company during the past 12 months to about 0,500.000. The latest contracts,' placed by C.O.E.T.C. and U.C.O.T., two new co-operative bus-operating undertakings in Montevideo, are for a total of 150 A.E.C. Regal Mk. Vi single-decker buses of 100-passenger capacity.. The new buses will be A.E.C.'s latest • heavy-duty export model and will have A.E.C. 200. b.h.p. diesel engines and full air brakes. Luxury 36-ft.-long bodies will be built by A.E.C.'s associated bodybuilders in Holland. N.V. Auto Industrie Verheul. These will he of all-steel construction with welded panels.
