HAMBURG and Cologne are the two centres for the visit to Western Germany in 1963 which is being planned by the Institute of Transport. The party will leave London on the evening of June 16 and return .on June 27.
The 1964 congress of the Institute will be held at Harrogate from June 2-5.
Among the awards for papers submitted during the 1961-62 session and in respect of examination successes are a B.T.C. award of £40 to Mr. W. M. Little, general manager of Edinburgh Corporation Transport for his paper "Road to Europe," and the Road Transport (Passenger) Medal to Mr. 13, H. Harbour, a member of the L.T.E., for his paper "The Place of Road Transport in a Co-ordinated Passenger Transport System." Mr. J. K. Isaac, assistant traffic manager, Jamaica Omnibus Services, Ltd., receives £25 as his associate membership examination prize..
