THE size of the national council of the Traders Road Transport Association is to be halved. The decision was made at last month's council meeting "in the interests both of economy and efficiency."
Commencing in May, 1963, the council will number 34 representatives, of which 27 will be appointed by Divisions on a representative basis. The remaining seats will be filled by the president, the four national vice-chairmen, the national honorary treasurer and the immediate past president.
The T.R.T.A. Bulletin, which gives this news, also reveals that the national executive committee is to be discontinued in favour of greater diversification through specialist committees.
