• London driver James Dormer, awaiting trial in a jail near Athens on charges he strongly denies, is still waiting for a court date and a lawyer. Fair Trials Abroad has lined up a crack defence lawyer who says he may take on the case as long as his expenses are met. Fair Trials' director Stephen Jackobi says Andreas Petsos might act for and his girlfriend Jacqui Rose if a few hundred pounds can be raised to pay his expenses. They have been locked up since before Christmas after being accused of stealing a £45,000 load of boots they were due to deliver in the Greek capital.
