Roadtanks in Scotland are set to impose an overtime ban to protest about a pay freeze.
P&O has rejected a 3% wage claim from the 43 drivers at the Grangemouth depot. Union offical John Elliott, negotiating on behalf of the drivers, says a substantial majority have voted for action. We are only asking for a rise in line with inflation," he says. "We have now called in the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) to broker an agreement."
He adds that P&O claims the depot is not making enough money to fund a wage rise because of past inefficiencies.
P&O declined to comment.
