Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Big orders for trailers have been placed in the UK by the American-owned Transport International Pool Ltd, which operates a world-wide trailer and container renting and leasing network. The value of trailer axle gear to be made at the Darlaston and Warrington works of Rubery Owen is expected to be about £250,000 and further business in service and replacement parts may be expected to double the original order value.

Trailer manufacturers involved include Taskers Trailers Ltd, Cravens Homalloy Ltd, Peak Trailers Ltd, and J. Booth Trailers Ltd, all in the UK. Continental trailer manufacturers who are also building for TIP include La Brugeoise at Nivelles and Van Hoof (Belgium); and Pacton Trailers (Holland). All these ,will draw their axles either from Rubery Owen-Rockwell in Britain, or from its German associate, Vereinigte Achsenwerke GmbH.

All the Rubery Owen-Rockwell axles used will have Sterne° oil-filled hubs and Engler hubodometers will be fitted to assist in automatic journey and maintenance recording as required by the regulations of some of the countries through which these trailers will pass. They will all have ISO metric wheel stud fixing.
