Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Directors of Roadexpress, the Coventry-based courier which called in the administrator earlier this month, have withdrawn their bid for Red Star (CM 2-8 September).

One of the directors, Ken Hargreaves, a former MP for Hyndburn in Lancashire who was brought in to handle the hid, left earlier this month.

And Roadexpress also gave notice that it will no longer carry out Red Star next-day deliveries after November, by which time the British Rail parcels subsidiary should be privatised. It has not given notice for its sameday delivery contract.
