BUS services in a Forth Valley town have prompted an appeal to the Government for better public transport.
Routes have been slashed, shortened and butchered in Grangemouth, leaving a hoth-potch of services, Falkirk councillor William Boyles claims.
Councillor Boyles blames the Government and the Traffic Commissioners for imposing a monopoly system on the public.
"People in towns and rural areas of Scotland suffer inadequate bus services which I believe could be run well by private companies. But as present legislation stands, the regulations of the Traffic Commissioners deny the public the benefit of competition.
The nationalised bus group have failed users in Grangemouth, and throughout the land."
