Vehicles and drivers were a credit to themselves, their operators and road transport generally. The anti-road lobby should have been here as guests of the Committee; it might have diluted a few of their already weak arguments.
It seems, of late, that the environmentalists have had less to say than was the case a few months ago. Can it be that the message is at last getting home? Are they almost ready to accept that road transport improves the quality of life?
If the image of the industry, as projected by CM LDoY finalists, is taken up by others, it will only be a matter of time before the futile road versus rail arguments are laid to rest.
