Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEXT Friday, September 23 at 12 noon, Mrs. Barbara Castle, Minister of Transport, will open the 1966 Commercial Motor Show at Earls Court, London. Except for this first day, the Show will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day (excluding Sunday) until October 1.

Admission costs 5s. before 5 p.m. and 2s. 6d. after 5 p.m. every day except Saturdays, when it will be 2s. 6d. all day.

As the map shows, the Earls Court exhibition building lies a little way south of the Cromwell Road clearway, in the angle formed by Warwick Road and Lillie Road in south-west London, and is only a short distance north of Battersea Bridge.

The Earls Court building has its own car parks, but these are usually filled fairly early each day by exhibitors and their staffs. There are public car parks nearby, as the map shows, and most charge 5s. a day but these, too, are likely to fill up early.

The police permit parking in some of the streets around Earls Court and Nevem Square is an example where parking is officially allowed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; nevertheless, one can seldom be sure of finding a space after the early morning rush. The roads outlined in bold on the map are no-waiting areas which are strictly enforced.

Earls Court Underground is linked to the exhibition hall by a subway and this station can be reached from any on the London Transport Underground system. Many outlying Underground stations have car parks and the map shows those with space for 50 or more cars; but, here again, large park indicate a sizeable demand and it is obviolu ly desirable to arrive early if one hopes t secure an unbookecl space. On the °the hand, street parking near outlying station is likely to be much easier than aroun Earls Court, while most of central Lando is now within parking meter zones.

Bus routes serving the exhibition art No. 30, Roehampton to Hackney Wic$ through Putney, Fulham, Hyde Park Coi ner, Marble Arch, Baker Street and King Cross; No. 31, which runs from Carnde Town to Chelsea through Swiss Cottagt Kilburn and Notting Hill Gate; and No. 74 74A and 74B from Camden Town t Putney or Hammersmith through St. John' Wood, Marble Arch and Knightsbridge.
