NEW REGISTRATIONS FALL

THE number of new commercial vehicles registered in June, 1949, felt by nearly 600 from the previous month's figure. There was, however, an increase in the number of oilengine(' goods vehicles newly registered, 601 as compared with 581 in May.

The most marked decrease has been on the number of goods vehicles of all categories registered in June, a fall of 272.

The vehicles registered in June bring the total of commercial vehicles registered for the first time this year to 92.796. • A. summary of the statistics, published .by the Ministry, of Transport, is given below.
