Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A DISPUTE at the woks of .1-1. David Brown Tractors, Ltd., Meltham, Huddersfield, due to the introduction of new equipment to speed-up tractor assembly, caused about 20 men to walk out from their jobs in the assembly line on the day shift and the night shift. They demanded an increase in the rate of their bonus, which averaged £5 per week, and alleged that with the fewer men employed in the line under the new system they could not achieve the higher output called for.

The management, who said they had given the men a guarantee against dismissal for redundancy, claimed that the new equipment had not been given a fair trial by the employees involved.

After the walk-out, an official of the company said that, as far as they were concerned the matter was closed, as the places of the men who had left their jobs were being filled by employees transferred from other work, mainly in the service department.
