Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A HISTORY of Scammell rigid eight-wheelers, to which I referred in the September 25 issue, attributes the company's survival largely to the introduction of this revered model 45 years ago. Perhaps, then, Mountford Brothers, whose entire fleet was sold by British Car Auctions, should not have been surprised that a 1939 version should have been knocked down to Tom Riding for £1,150.

What surprises me is that the bidding for such a desirable collector's item should have started as low as £100.
