HOME SECRETARY William Whitelaw will open this year's Motor Show at noon on Friday next week, October 22.
He will tour the National Exhibition Centre before the opening ceremony, and will be the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders' chief guest at the offical opening day lunch. Two years ago, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher opened the Show.
The Show opens to the trade on Wednesday and Thursday next week, and is then open to the public from 10am to 7.30pm from October 23 to 30. It closes at 9pm on October 27 and 28, but opens only from 10am to 5.30pm on the final day, Sunday, October 31.
