AIR SUSPENSION is being adopted throughout Sony UK's distribution fleet to help provide a smoother ride for sensitive electronic equipment.
Its latest fleet additions are seven 16-ton gross Scania 82M models with eight-litre power units which, like Sony's existing delivery vans, are fitted with swap-body equipment suppred by Ray Smith Demountables.
The Scanias also have chassis mounted 1.5-tonne Scan-tail lifts manufactured by its associated company Ray Smith (Tail Lifts).
Since adopting tail-lifts two years•ago, Sony has standardised on the Scan-tail lift and now has over 20 in its fleet.
