Improved Grinder AN improved version of the LSS 61 air-operated sander-grinder is now available from Atlas Copco (Gt. Britain), Ltd., Wembley, Middlesex. The new model is known as the LSS 62. It has a tubular throttle which eliminates leakage and is said to be simple to maintain. To prevent damage by the hexagon socket used for tighten .ing the wheel or brush retaining nut, the front end of the driving spindle is now hardened.

These are a plastics " foot " which fits 1,1 in. by 11 in. angle to protect polished surfaces and provide non-slip contact and a 4-in, rubber castor capable of taking a load of 200 lb. The "feet" cost 8d. each and the rubbzr castors 14s. 6d. each when fixed or 23s. 6d. in a swivelling version.

Chromium Rings CHROMIUM-PLATED piston rings are now offered by the Cords Piston Ring Co., Ltd., 75-77 Scrubs Lane, London, N.W.I0, as an alternative to their segmented design.
