Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new fitting which reduces the size, weight and cost of wiring harnesses has been launched by Harnessflex. The new Y-piece, which provides multiple branch outlets along a main conduit run, is assembled on the outside of conduit. This allows the size of the conduit used to be reduced (fitting does not restrict bore) and also reduces size and weight.

Made of polyamide 6.6 and hinged along its length, the external Y fitting can be applied to slit or unslit conduit. A total of 34 different Y-pieces can be used with six sizes of conduit ranging from eight to 28mm nominal diameter.
