It shows 50% of transport firms wanted a VAT cut in the last budget announcement, but the standard VAT rate remained at 20%. John Fawcett, MD of the transport division at Close Brothers Asset Finance, said: "Business owners are looking for measures that will stimulate growth and drive the economy forward."
