• Fledgling owner-drivers association Unit '91 has been dealt a severe blow with almost half its 227 members transferring to a new group organised by a former member.
However, Unit'91 founder Mike Pickering has held talks with the Transport Users Group, which has more than 1,100 members, to discuss the possibility of a merger. Both groups represent small hauliers and owner-drivers.
