/ The first national weighbridge directory is too expensive, says operator Richard Read, who spearheaded the campaign for the directory.
He wants the Trading Standards to subsidise the £75 guide, which is published by local authorities. "They require the vehicles to stay within the law," he says, "therefore they should subsidise these books to make them available to everyone."
