• A new non-slip walkway has been added to the Q-Grating range from William Sharp (Sales).
It is made of 3CR12grade stainless steel and is cheaper than the more common 304-grade model.

Jet stream
• A new rotary jet, designed to be attached to the end of a high pressure water jetting lance, has been developed by Harben Systems, Salisbury, Wilts.
It is safer than shot-blasting and quicker than using a wire brush and can be used for removing rust or heavy paint deposits, says Harben.

Steady loading
• Stokvis has brought out a device to prevent premature departure from loading bays.
Truk Stop Star 1 is fixed at the base of the loading bay and links to a truck or trailer.
The safety mechanism can restrain the vehicle at a force of up to 14 tonnes.
