Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Renault Truck Industries intends to sharpen its attack on the lucrative UK 7.5-tonne sector by bringing in a premium lightweight truck from France, fully built-up, from September. The Club-of-Four cabbed vehicle will be available only in high-power, topspecification form, and with powers of up to 112kW it will be pitched straight at other high-spec 7.5-tonners like the Mercedes-Benz 814.

At the same time, Renault is to launch the updated version of the '50' series, with new engines and brakes and a restyled version of the existing '50' series cab.

The G260 6x4 tipper chassis developed at Dunstable which was shown at Tipcon will also be in production by then. The 6x4 uses a Hendrickson rear bogie for lightness, and a larger version of this bogie — using Renault axles — will be used on the 8x4 version of the G290, which is about a year away from production.

Managing director Francis Cousin says that Renault Truck Industries orders are now at a record level, being 34% up on this time last year.
