Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The London Regional Passengers' Committee (LRPC) is warning that recent improvements made in improving passenger access to PSVs could be in jeopardy, following deregulation.

According to LRPC chairman Dr Eric Midwinter, the growing use of small, more cramped minibuses since deregulation has set back recent progress in the development of larger bus accessability.

The LRPC has called on the Department of Transport to "take action to safeguard the interests of the passenger in the vital field of bus design.

Policies to make passenger transport more cost effective must not ignore the need to make public transport as widely accessible as possible," warns the committee.
