AN INCREASE in the number of psv registered in April 1981 an April 1980 is shown in the monthly figures provided by the Sociei of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
This April saw 593 new buses and coaches registered against 51 the previous year. Of these, 493 were British-built vehicles and 10 imported. Top British manufacturer was Leyland who supplied 223.
So far this year a total of 925, 436 psv fewer than last year, hay been registered,
