THE DECLINE in lorry traffic through Dover has started to slow, w a March deline of 3.71 per cent contrasting with a 7.06 per cent dr in January to March. The number of commercial road haulage units (an artic tracti unit and semi-trailer counts as two units) passing through Dover March fell from 45,412 in 1980 to 43,726 to 1981, while for the fi three months of 1981, the figure was 116,884, against 125,768 • 1980.
