Official Information, Aided by Maps, Which Should Prove of Inestimable Value to Coach Proprietors.

OTJR feature dealing with the facilities which are provided • by municipal authorities throughout the country for parking visiting motor coaches is now so well established that, it, is unnecessary for us to continue to direct attention to the value of the official information, aided by maps, which we are publishing week by week. The coach owner or his driver employee who has been face to face with the difficulty of finding accommodation for his vehicle when visiting an unfamiliar city or town will readily appreciate the usefulness of the particulars, whilst .those owners who have only just commenced to run long-distance tours and who have not yet experienced the delays and irritating incidents brought about by a lack of knowledge of special arrangements for visiting coaches (made, amongst other reasons, for their benefit), should. not neglect, to preserve the information for immediate or future reference.

We have already dealt with the arrangements in force in 23 different cities and towns, and we shall continue to publish, week by week, details of the facilities provided in all the popular motor coaching centres throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Reprints of the maps already published and their accompanying information can be obtained on application to the Editor, 7-15, Rosebery Avenue, London, E.C.1. .Below wo deal with the regulations which are in force is Dumfries, Hastings, Margate and Scarborough :— Duxtrur.E5.—The most suitable place for setting down passengers in Dumfries is Queensberry Square in the centre of the town. A nominal fee of is. or is. 6d. is charged, and prior to the return journey the coaches are permitted to load in Station Road.
