• Palletised distribution specialist Pallet] me has opened two regional hubs in Glasgow and Stirling to consolidate the company's service throughout Scotland and into the Islands.
Gordon Leslie Distribution, based at Linwood, near Glasgow, and Barbour European of Stirling will act as regional hubs and consolidation centres for incoming pallets from all over Scotland. They will also serve as distribution points for pallets coming into the country from the mainstream system.
Onward distribution to the more remote regions will be managed jointly by Highland Haulage of Inverness, serving the Highlands and Islands, and by Sandy Bruce of Aberdeen, handling the east coast.
The expansion will enable Palletline to respond to the growing demand for an Inverness overnight service.
