DON'T BE ALARMED BUY A GUARD POST
• Larkins Security Systems has developed a self-contained portable intruder alarm called Guard Post. It uses an infrared detector to pick up any movement within a designated area and sounds an electronic siren. Guard Post can be powered by the mains or a builtin battery, and comes in two versions for wide-angle and long-range coverage.
A radio signalling version is available for use in conjunction with the Guard Post multichannel receiver.

AUTOROUTE HITS THE STREETS NextBase has launched a route-planning and scheduling system called Autoroute Plus which has over 33,000 place names and covers some 100,000km of road. The sys tern is claimed to give distances and times between up to 25 points, to calculate costings and to produce detailed print-outs with savings of up to 20% in costs and man hours.
